Who's POV do we follow?
Your's.
On one hand, Selas is out being a nuisance to someone else for a while, which brings you the tiniest bit of schadenfreude. But on the other hand, you have Terri, who has had something done to her, that you don't think would be wise if you left her alone for too long. Shaking your head, you brace yourself and leave the restroom.
As you get closer to your table, you see Terri's face turn from looking like a kicked puppy to an excited one. She puffs out her chest at you when you grab the order chit and ask her if she's done. She nods. "Okay," you say, glancing around and looking at your watch. "I've got about ten more minutes until I got to start heading back. You wanna go walk off the cocoa or something? It was pretty rich." She nods again, almost jumping out of her seat. Making your way to the cashier, where Selas said she'd leave the walnut bread, you actually catch her going through the employee access and wish whoever is in there good luck.
To-go bag in hand, Terri latches onto your arm as you stroll down the street, not caring about the looks that the people are giving you. Not that she'd notice. She's too busy looking up at you, and nattering about how handsome you look today, and if you've been hitting the gym. You however, are trying not to look down, but you still catch glimpses down her top. Which, unfortunately, she makes very easy for you to do.
"So Charlie's been talking about you," she starts suddenly, making you stumble slightly. With a loud swallow, you ask her what Charlie's been saying. "Nothing much. Just that you've been really nice and understanding after, you know, how she was when you first met and that you've been helping her out with her drinking. That you came up with some secret formula for her. She says it really works! And it's really tasty." She licks her lips. "I'd like to try it out too, but she says it has to be made and taken fresh."
"Um... yeah. It's an old... family, recipe. I, I wouldn't recommend it for you though. You, you don't need it," you stutter, trying to change the topic.
"I don't know," she sighs, fluttering her eyelashes at you, "I really want to give it a try."
