You work alone

It's a pity because Fae's a fine piece of ass, but you decide that you have to travel alone. You bid her farefall and set out for the city of Klind on the border of Venderbrast. You travel for three days, glad that the weather has brightened up and its not so wet and miserable any more.

On the third night you have a dream. A goddess, dressed all in white comes to you and says: "John, you must hear me. Doe, whom you met in Treylen, has been captured by an enchanter. She is more important to your destiny than you know; you must rescue her! Go to the Ruined Temple of Greymere, in the forests near Erthainya, and hurry!" She presses a token into your hand, a piece of gold in the shape of an eye.

When you wake up, you find that piece of gold still in your hand. You realise because of it that you've been visited by a goddess in your sleep, and she's given you a quest to perform.

But how to go about it? This temple where Doe is being held is near Erthainya, and that's more than two weeks back in the opposite direction! There is a way though, and you curse yourself for leaving Fae behind now- because you need to seek out a sorcerer and have them teleport you to the temple.

It's too late to change things now, though, so you head on. At the next town you come to, you ask about a bit to see whether there are any sorcerers nearby but nobody wants to answer your questions. You've all but given up when an old man beckons to you from an alleyway. "There's a sorcerer who lives not half a day from this town," he mutters to you. "Follow the path to the west, and you'll find him."

The old man rushes away before you can thank him. You set out immediately, heading west. After half a days walk, just as the man said, you come upon a small tower- only about three floors, nowhere near as big as that where you came upon Morrin and Fae. Still, sorcerers are almost always to be found in towers, so this looks promising.

You knock on the door with your fist and wait. A minute later it opens, and you realise the man was wrong: it's not a sorcerer who lives here, but a sorceress.
