You wish

"I think it worked!" Stella cheers with such delight and certainty, that you forget that you're not at the coffee shop.

You turn around to face her, and see her happily standing in the admin room, naked as a carrot. "Oh no." You moan, and lean against a nearby counter. "Why didn't it work?"

"It didn't?" She looks around, trying to spy something off about her world. "Everything looks normal to me."

"Stella, Honey you're standing in the admin room of a school in the nude. We're on top of a mountain in Colorado. Brooke steals panties while dressed as a robber."

"That's just how our school is."

"True." You stare down at the entry in the book, and wonder why it didn't come true. You notice some sloppy grammar, and corrected it, but that doesn't change everything. Maybe The Rulebook protects itself. If there was ever something that would destroy it, that rule is vetoed. You try out a few variations of the previous rule, but nothing comes of it. You look up. "Do you have an eraser?"

Stella digs through her desk in the office, and eventually gives you a big pink thing. "Here you go."

"I'm just going to have to do this manually." You grunt, and start purging the pages of your changes. You have no idea how this will effect the memories of those you've... interacted with, but you have to try.

And try.

And try.

Nothing is getting erased. Not a period, preposition, or paragraph. "What the hell?" You grunt in frustration. Ever since you started messing with Stella the Rulebook hasn't been working at all.

You flip through the book, trying to see if there is some entry that could explain things. Maybe the rules on the first pages, or a rule you'd already wrote. When there was nothing there, you scanned the pages you hadn't gotten to yet, to see if something had been written in the margins. That's when you notice the missing page. Torn right out of the book near the back.

"Pricilla." You growl dangerously.

"What?" Stella looks over your shoulder, to see what's wrong.

"She has one of the pages of the book, I don't think I can affect the whole thing without that page."

"Can she change stuff with the page she has?"

"I don't know, I'm having trouble changing things with the entire book at the moment. I don't see how she could with a single page. Even then, we might not notice. She can make it so that even the strangest things are normal to us."

That seems to confuse Stella. "Then why have all the girls been having such a hard time with our uniforms and stuff these past few weeks? Shouldn't being a nudist feel natural to me?"

"Because I'm an awful person!" You snap. "Okay? I liked seeing all of you suffer and be embarrassed. Alright? I'm a jerk, and I want to undo the damage I've done, but we have to find Pricilla, and get that page."

"Then should we check her room?"

"No need, I already know where she is. She's helping me set up for Halloween."
