You were right to trust him

You enter the back room with your hand in your purse, the black pen is gripped firmly in your petite hand. Inside, there's two men with sharp features; both of them around thirty in age. They watch as you enter, hands on their pistol holsters and keep their eyes firmly on you, as if watching for any suspicious movements. Jacque nods at them and they seem to relax ever so slightly, their eagle like gazes still fixated upon you.

You stop right at the entrance to the room. "Alright Jacque, I think you owe me an explanation."

"Agreed, but I think this will help explain the situation a lot easier." Your brother begins to strip rapidly and in your surprise, you simply watch him. It isn't long until he's completely naked and your Gabby memories/personality tell you this is something completely out of the ordinary for the two of you. One of the men approaches Jacque from behind and pulls out a long metallic looking strip and places it against his back. It's a zipper. To your surprise, it adheres and you watch in wonder as Jacque pulls it open. You blink rapidly, not sure if it's some kind of optical illusion but there's no mistake. A gash has appeared in his back and the skin in the opening is clearly not his. His skin distorts as the figure within pulls and disengages themselves from the disguise.

A young woman emerges from the skin like a butterfly from its cocoon.

Her appearance was remarkable; young nubile flesh, long blonde hair and yet her face looked like it'd seen a war. She was probably no younger than 18 yet she seemed mature and wise beyond her years. The world-weariness that you'd seen in Jacque's eyes had clearly come from this woman.

"Quickly now I don't have time to explain, "Give your Gabrielle skin to Gerard here and we'll make our escape." As she said this, she pulled back another curtain to reveal two gagged and blindfolded women who she obviously intended to become a pair of disguises.

You hesitate. Obviously, this is happening too fast and you don't know what you can trust anymore. Sensing your ****, the woman walks over to you and grasps you firmly on the shoulders.

"Listen, I know you must be scared and confused right now David but I'm with the DGSE - French Intelligence. We've been looking for you for a long time; ever since you pissed off the wrong people and went into hiding. I'm here to offer you a change to get back into the game, a fighting chance. But first we need to get those two agents off your tail. And to do that, Gerard and Michael here need to take our places for now. Rest assured, we can get you back to Gabrielle life once its safe to. Until then, I need you to trust me until we reach the safe house."

There's something about this woman that you feel like you can trust. Maybe it's the fact that she's completely naked whilst she spouts these unbelievable words. Maybe its the fact that you've finally gone off the deep end. Or maybe you're just tired of running and this opportunity, no matter how absurd, is what you needed to whip you out of your stupor; the comfort that you'd obtained from just living as Gabby and her family. The friends and family you'd been **** to leave behind; maybe there was finally a chance to do something.

The choice isn't hard. Shortly afterwards, Gabby and her brother leave the store followed closely by the young American couple. Another hour passes before two cute French girls also depart from the store, one of them holding a quintet of coloured pens in her Chanel handbag.
