Are you doing anything? Or better straight to bed?
You want to play a dice game
There are three guys at a round table. They seem to play a dice game with some wooden plates you know from your childhood. Your father liked it, but never allowed you or your brother to play it for money. Two of the guys are around your age, maybe a little older, while the third one is about twice your age. Maybe the father of one of the guys.
“Greetings,” you say to the guys, “do you mind if I join you for a round?”
“Depends,” says the oldest guy, a little sceptic, “are you telling the baronet that we don’t bought his stupid allowance for gambling?”
“I hardly believe that the Baronet is interested in your copper coins,” you answer polite, “I will not tell anybody.”
“Oh, believe me, he is,” one of the younger guys answers and shrugs his shoulders, “I am Gavin, this is my best friend Hayham and his uncle Bron. May I ask who are you, young lady?”
“Clare,” you introduce yourself, “and I am not a lady. I am from a peasant family too.”
“Well, then sit down, fellow peasant,” Hayham says smiling and points to a chair, “you know how to play?”
“Let me remember,” you mumble, “every player gets an equal amount of wooden plates. I get two dices and throw them. Every time I don’t throne a one I can put one of my plates in the middle. If I get a one, I have to stop and it is the next players turn. The first one without wooden plates wins.”
“You seem to remember everything,” Gavin says and hands you a pile of plates, “please place your bets!”
