Chapter 56 by Orlog4 Orlog4

What to do now?

You want these scumbags to pay. Make sure they loose their control

Mike is a good guy, but not able to stand up against two huge bullies on his own. He needs your help, no matter if he wants it or not. You need to create a situation where Mike gets the upper hand and you can assist. Together, you can probably stand up against the corrupt guards. While they argue with Mike, one of them seems to keep one eye on you. And he is

“Where do you think you are …” the guard begins and grabs you forcefully around the wrist.

But before he doesn’t get any further, you forcefully drive your knee in his balls and scream loud. All eyes turn to you the guard screams too, but in pain and anger. He is not hurt bad, but enough to let you go and clutch his balls.

“What the fuck?” the guard next to Mike asks angry, “what do you think you are doing there, bitch?”

“He tried to grab my breasts,” you lie and sound convincing insulted, “this pervert tried to grope me. I will sue him! Both of you.”

“He did … what I didn’t …,” Mike says confused but then understands what you wanted to achieve with this, “so, this is what you consider your duty? Groping young woman like common subway-perverts?”

“The fuck I did,” the guard you kicked replies angry and reaches out to hit you, “you bleed for this you fucking whore.”

“Oh no, you will keep your hands to yourself, pervert!” Mike immediately interrupts and gets between you and the guard, “you will not hit anybody as long as I’m around, is this clear?”

“Get out of my way you fucker!” the guars yells, “this slut is ready for hospital. And you mind your own business, asshole. This is not your territory. We are enforcing the law in this mall.”

“Yes, of course,” Mike says sarcastic, “and you do a great job >enforcing the law<. I’m sure a lawsuit and high media attention is exactly the way your great boss wanted this to be solved. So, how about you two go >enforcing the law< somewhere else and let the real professionals handle this.”

The guards seem to be ambiguous. The guy you kicked in the nuts looks like he gives a shit about consequences. You assume he normally don’t get disrespect by girls and his victims. And the only way he knows to save his ego is ****. The other guy is much more careful. He still would enjoy beating you to hospital too, but he knows a fight against two people, including a well-trained officer, is not as easy as against a defenseless victim. And like all bullies these guys are born cowards. With no guarantee of victory, they prefer to stay out of combat.

But you don’t want them to stay out of combat. You want them to pay for what they did. Mike can’t see it, but in a moment when the first guard stares at you angry for a last time, you grin at him and point out your middle finger. This impudence seems to be enough to make him loose his patience.

“That’s enough, you are dead, slut!” the guard cries and runs towards you.

He just pushes Mike out of the way and goes for your neck. He is strong and you have no doubt he would snap your neck like a twig. But you are prepared. In the moment he touches your neck, you smash your right foot in his balls and watch him go down in pain. His agony pleases you, but you know, it will only stop him for seconds. The second guard took a moment to understand what happened and follows his companion. But seeing his partner go down, he obviously considers you rather dangerous, and not just annoying. He reaches for his baton, a thick and brutal looking piece of wood covered by rubber, ready to break your bones. But he doesn’t get far.

“Enough!” Mike screams and points with his gun at the closer guard, “this ends now! Get lost!”

There is a moment of silence. You didn’t expect Mike to go so far and pull his gun. Not that you mind. These scumbags deserve nothing else than a bullet. But it seems Mike has no intention to shoot them. At least not now.

“The boss will know about this, you fucking slut,” the second guard says furious, “and you … this was your last mistake. You hear me, asshole?”

“Last warning!” Mike replies dangerously, “get lost!”

The second guard helps his partner up and they leave. While Mike makes sure the corrupt guards leave for good, you hurry to look after Rey. He is badly wounded and lost conscious, but he seems to have no permanent wounds. Maybe a few of his wounds will turn into scars. Quickly you begin to take care of his bleeding wounds with tissues.

“He will survive it,” Mike says tense, “but he will have to stay in hospital for a few days. For heaven’s sake, what has gotten into you, Ashley?”

“These fuckers were nothing but scum,” you hiss, “this was nothing compared to what they did. And who knows how often they did this already. You should arrest them. Rey should sue them for what they did.”

“I know, but they will just say he attacked them first,” Mike replies sad, “it wouldn’t be the first time. And even if he gets a judge who is not corrupt, without evidence it will be hard. I will look around and see if one of the people around made a video. Maybe we are lucky. At least these bastards don’t get away so easily. Their boss will be pissed when he hears that his thugs got cast away by a girl and a rookie cop. With a little luck he even fires them or stops protecting them. But … better not set your hopes to high.”

“Fine, but this will not help Rey,” you say sad and shake your head, “god, this town is a mess. Can I at least do anything to help this guy?”

“No, Ashley you already did more than enough,” Mike replies immediately, “I’m sorry I couldn’t stand up to them in the way I should have. My police training is not made for such situations. But what you did was dangerous and careless. I appreciate that you wanted to help, but not this way.”

“Fine, but one last thing,” you reply with your arms crossed, “what does these thugs meant with agreement? They said there is an agreement between the police and the mall security.”

“There is an agreement, but this not official,” Mike explains carefully, “you need to know, there are a lot of people in the town who … well I would say they consider the town as their playgrounds and the people living here to be their toys. They founded the mall as a part of their own twisted world. There are several others too. They bribed a lot of officers to do what they say or stay out of their business. Private security, or rather thugs in uniforms, enforce not the law but their will. And they enjoy it, that in their own world they can do whatever they want. Poor people are not wanted and woman are just prey or objects. Your father is one of these people and he did a lot to create this world. As long as they keep corruption high and have enough thugs, they will never lose their power.”

“Are these guys stuck in medieval times?” you ask disgusted, “what is wrong with them? Can’t we do anything against such assholes.”

“Maybe, when we manage to push charges against your dad,” Mike mumbles, “he is not the only reason, but bringing him down would be a huge symbolic success and with his information we could start arresting and removing the rest of the corrupt officials. Still, it would be a fucking huge lot of work and it would take years. Nevertheless, there is some hope. But now go! I will take care of this guy and … I will see what I can do for him. I already called the ambulance.”

“Alright,” you say and get up, “thanks, Mike. For the information and the help. I will not forget this.”

Mike just nods. He is clearly still upset with you. Maybe this wasn't the smartest idea, but it felt totally right. You quickly leave and look for a quiet place inside the mall. You don’t want to stay here any longer while the corrupt guards are on the warpath. To your luck, Eric calls you only moments after you found a small candy shop to hide. He is back and asks where you can meet. You tell him where the candy shop is and wait. He shows up after some minutes and immediately you feel much safer.

“Hey, princess, I’m back,” Eric says and suddenly his smile fades, “is this blood on your hands?”

“Blood?” you ask shocked and suddenly notice you haven’t washed your hands after you helped Rey, “oh, this, don’t worry. It is not mine. Just a few minutes ago, there were some guards of the mall in the park. They brutally beat up a poor street musician. But then … a police officer showed up. He made them leave and I took care of the poor guy until the office took over. I must have forgotten to wash my hands afterwards. Stupid me. Mom always told me to do so after helping an injured person.”

“I see,” Eric says and sounds much calmer, “good to know there was a police officer around. The guards here are scum. I know some of them. Not personally, but I know their reputation. Good thing you stayed out of this. However, we better hurry. Your father called me a moment ago. He wants you back in the mansion. I don’t know why, but I assume it is important. Wash your hands and then we go.”

Back home
