The driver frowns at you and answers: “Utah. Near the southern border of the state. Further along the road to the north, about 10 kilometers away is the small town of New Jericho. I don’t know what you need there. Almost no one goes to this fucking hole. This small, shitty, provincial town. But you bought a ticket for 10 dollars. For that kind of money, I won’t take you further than this town."

You thought about the situation. If the town of New Jericho is an extremely small provincial town, then it may not be profitable for you to go there because the locals will show too much attention to you. Or you can pay the driver an extra amount of money (you have another $30) to have the bus take you somewhere more distant.

Or you can stay here at this motel you spotted.
