Chapter 26 by Trom1806 Trom1806

What awaits you after you wake up?

You wake up when the bus stops at one of the stops.

You open your eyes. You probably slept for a long time while the bus was traveling somewhere north. It's early morning.

You yawn and try to look around. You understand that the bus has now stopped. You look through the window and you see that the bus is at a gas station. Next to the gas station there is a small store, and on the opposite side of the road there is some kind of motel, which looks like an extremely cheap and probably not popular establishment.

You get off the bus. You stretch your muscles and enjoy the fresh air.

Then you approach the bus driver who fills the bus with gasoline.

You ask the driver: “Where are we now, sir?”

The driver frowns at you and answers: “Utah. Near the southern border of the state. Further along the road to the north, about 10 kilometers away is the small town of New Jericho. I don’t know what you need there. Almost no one goes to this fucking hole. This small, shitty, provincial town. But you bought a ticket for 10 dollars. For that kind of money, I won’t take you further than this town."

You thought about the situation. If the town of New Jericho is an extremely small provincial town, then it may not be profitable for you to go there because the locals will show too much attention to you. Your arrival will be too conspicuous to the locals due to the fact that almost no strangers come to their small town. And excessive attention to your personality is very dangerous for you.

Therefore you are in thought.

What should you do next?

You can still ignore the risk and go to the small provincial town of New Jericho.

Or you can pay the driver an extra amount of money (you have another $30) to have the bus take you somewhere more distant.

Or you can stay here at this motel you spotted. Of course, this motel, which is located across the street, does not look like a very nice place, but you need to find at least a temporary place of residence, taking into account the **** limitations of your financial capabilities. You also understand that all sorts of travelers constantly stay at motels and therefore your person will not cause increased interest among the motel employees.

So what decision will you make? Which path will you take?
