You wake up quite weakened

When you come to yourself, you notice you are moving. It’s quite disorienting, so you open your eyes, and it is still dark. You try to stretch out your hands, but feel a soft surface surrounding you.
When you learn you have been placed in a confined space, you start to panic. But when you push your hands up, a lid opens and a faint light comes in, revealing you are surrounded by red velvet.
You realize you are merely sleeping in Keyla’s coffin. It leaves you with a morbid feeling, but it could’ve been worse. You notice you are still naked, with the exception for some bandages that cover the breast where Keyla bit you last night. You touch your neck, where Keyla bandaged you the previous night. You’ve never heard of a vampire who was concerned enough about a human’s health to try and heal the wounds she caused.

You pull yourself up, raising your torso to prepare getting out of the coffin, and instantly feel like you’re about to faint again.
The feeling of movement stops and a pair of cold hands place themselves on your shoulders.
“You shouldn’t get up so quickly, Sabine. You’re anemic.”
It is Keyla, she must have put you in her coffin while you were sleeping.
“How … how do you … know.” You try to speak, but you’re still too disoriented to make much sense.
“I know you are, because I am the cause of it.” Keyla says while she helps you up. “It is possible for a vampire to drink enough blood from a human that he would not have to feed for several days, however that would cause the human to die.”
You use Keyla as balance to get on your feet. Once you can stand on your own, you ask “But, you’ve fed on me two times already.
“Yes.” Keyla agrees. “I don’t like killing, so I limit myself to only drinking as much as I need. After one time, my victim merely feels weakened. After the second time, they are anemic. Third time leaves them bedridden. The fourth time … Let’s just say I won’t want to feed on you a fourth time.”
“Can’t you like, skip a day an let me recover?” You ask.
Keyla’s expression darkens. “I wish it were that simple, Sabine. But when my people spend too long without fresh blood, we fall victim to ‘the thirst’. With my diet, I need to refrain from feeding just one night, and I become it’s ****.”
“So what happens when you do?” you ask.
Keyla looks down and says with a sigh. “Then I become feral and violently feed on whomever is the closest to me, no matter whether they are friend or foe.”

All you’ve heard of vampires your entire life is how they were evil monsters who survive through the killing of humans. It really is quite surprising how considerate Keyla is to human life. Maybe she isn’t as bad as you think she is.

Keyla helps you get dressed and explains that she placed you in her coffin so you’d be able to sleep in a warm, soft space. When Aegis woke up, she had him pull the cart further in the direction of the mountain pass. By now you just entered the mountains.
It is good that you woke up when you did. The sun was about to rise and Keyla needed her coffin back.
You switched positions and continue driving through the mountain pass. As you do so, you start to worry about what Keyla said about her feeding habits. If she feeds on you tonight, you will no longer be able to travel by yourself. If she doesn’t feed, then tomorrow evening she will experience ‘the thirst’. Either way, she is going to be the **** of you.
If you want to survive long enough to reach Gerlangen, you may want to search for some other people Keyla can feed on. With those thoughts in mind, you again start hoping to meet someone on this path. Though less about them helping you get rid of Keyla.
