You tell him

Janice and I were both apprehensive to tell Steven, I think understandably. We'd been spending so much time together you'd think we were married, but that doesn't come till later. We invited Steven over to chat so everything could be said.

"Honey, there are some things that have been going on that we think we need to tell you". She said to her son. "This might not be easy to hear, but Jackson and I have been spending some time together recently and we're a couple now."

Steven looked surprised and a bit in shock. "You two? But mom he's my age. Isn't that weird? Are you sure this is a good idea?"

"Well, honey there's something else I need to tell you. We've been seeing each other for quite some time now, and your baby sister is actually his baby."

Steven stays silent. "I think this is a good thing, I mean haven't you always looked up to him anyway? Maybe he can kind of look after yo.."

"Mom! He's my friend, what do you mean to look after me??"

"I just think maybe it's a good thing for him to take this new role, it's not a big deal".

"Don't worry bro, not a whole lot will be different. I'll still be here as your friend, I'm just going to be with your mom now. You're my bro and that will never change," I said to him.

"I think I need some time to process this," said Steven. He left for a while and I didn't see him for a few days. With my dorm being really close to Janice's house, she invited us both to move in with her. I really wanted to be with the woman I loved but didn't want to lose my friend.
