You talk him down.

“No, no chance, just give me them and you can go. I swear I’ll blast you.”

“Fine, calm down. But I’ve got to ask, “Are you sure that of all the superheroes you could become, you really are happy with Storm? What about, I don’t know, Superman? Or Thor? He’s a god. We should at least experiment a little more, don’t you think?”

He is obviously stressed, but after a few tense moments of silence he says, “You’re right. Thor would be awesome.”

“Okay.” He hands you the description and you put the boots back on, then hug him and kick them off. Both of you turn back to normal. He shakes his head, “Whoa, having that power made me a little crazy I think. We need to add something about not being crazy in the description, I think.”

You nod. The idea of super powers is quite thrilling. A smile grows as you ask, “What should we try next?”
