You summon them and give them an ultimatum

After a few more minutes of mutual comforting you leave Alex alone to make two phone calls. You call both yours and Alex's father. You keep both calls short telling them that Alex is hospitalized after having a seizure and you need to gather the family for support. They both promise to come immediately to the hospital. You estimate that they will arrive in about thirty minutes. You happily return to Alex for a bit in anticipation. Cuddling up to him you start building yourself up, going over what to say and how to respond. Your spirit is rising until you are certain that you are unstoppable. When the time draws close you excuse yourself from Alex once more as you plan to do the talk outside the ward where Alex won't be a direct target, he has suffered well enough as it is.

They all finally arrive. You guess they found each other in the parking lot. They are all here, both your in-laws and your parents as well as Gwen. Your sister runs up and embrace you. You can't help but feel a bit wierded out still sometimes about your older sisters increase in affection towards you after your transformation, but you don't mind. You are **** to hug everyone and make sure they all know that you are fine despite looking a little messy. Then the questions turn towards Alex.

You try to as calmly as you are able explain exactly what has happened. You have trouble at first however as recalling Alex having a seizure still cause you some duress which slips trough. You soldier on and tell them close to everything including all the tests they have done and how everything come's back negative and finally the doctors conclusion.

"Bullshit" Your father in law exclaims. "You don't have a seizure because a little bit of stress." He continues with the surety only a man in his upper middle age are able. Almost exactly as you predicted he would. The only thing he didn't do was call the doctor a quack. "What sort of hack doctors work at this place!" He exclaims. Fuck, you where so close.

"Sure maybe not stress alone, but mix in an unhealthy amount of anxiety, malnutrition and lack of sleep and you run the risk of having a seizure. According to these 'hack' doctors it's the only reasonable explanation in Alex's case anyway. And they looked really hard for another reason." You explain.

"I won't have it. I worked while i went to college without any problems and so can Alex!" Your father in law states.

"Well you only worked two too for evenings a week, never the weekends and you spent a loot of your time at that place reading." Patricia, your mother in law pipes up to your surprise. She always was the docile house wife.

"I frankly trust the doctors more than you Max when it comes to explaining why Alex had a seizure. Now we are both in agreement that neither of us are going to suffer trough that again. So we are going to follow the professionals advice to the letter." You state.

"But what about..." Max is about to retort.

"Would you for once shut your mouth and listen?" You interrupt him. He looks very surprised by your reprimand and you take the opportunity to continue. "I know most of you hate Alex ever since 'that day'. Well you all seem to care for me and the life that grows in my belly so i will tell you what i need. I need my husband in my life to love and support me. He can't do this if he is driven to an early grave by you pressuring him. Nor can he do that if he is working all the time. So he is not going to. Instead he is going to focus on school. He is going to destress and be home with me during his time off. I am going to take time off school after the baby is born to take care of it. Meanwhile he will continue his studying and he will be a father when he gets home. He is going to manage that because we will share the parental duties together. Then he is going to graduate and get a good job that he can do without killing himself and support his family. This is the plan." You explain. The feeling of self confidence is almost intoxicating. Now for the final move.

"I will now give each of you a choice. If you agree to support Alex and me in this plan then i am thankful and i invite you to go in and see him and wish him well. If you don't agree then i ask you to leave and never contact either me or Alex ever again as i am cutting you out of ours and our unborn child's life forever." The silence is deafening as you bring the hammer down on the issue. You are certain none of them thought they would be **** to face this kind of ultimatum when they hurried over. Feeling clear headed from your righteousness you await their response.
