You start to listen

WHAT? You shudder. In the back of your mind, you think this might be an accident. But then you hear a shot form a regular gun. Accompanied by a scream. There are other shots, both regular and plasma. Then there are other screams.

You realize the place is being raided. Your mind always knew that the guards have energy weapons, but consciously you never thought about them. The regular gunshots are from the group, probably by pirates, who are here for some good ol’ raiding.

You hear an explosion rocking the complex. Then you can hear the energy field cease around you.

This couldn’t have been an accident. You think to yourself. If the pirates got here to shoot the place, there can be only one reason for them to do this: and those are you, the merchandise. Strangely, at first, this signals that you are actually safe here. Were you to remain still, the pirates would simply take you, and deliver you to a new owner. On the second thought however: you feel infuriated. You don’t want to be taken away. You want your freedom.

Then again: getting out of here will be quite a challenge.
