You speak the words

Opening your mouth, you feel an energy you never knew pass your lips. Each syllable feels electric, a **** to your words as they escape you. Powerful emotions run through you, ranging from ecstacy to rage, as each word in turn changes both you and the world around you.

As you speak, your vision blurs, and the burning fire in the fireplace ignites to an even greater intensity. The flames seem to take on a life of their own, and leap from the hearth. They pulse for a moment, floating in the air before you before slowly opening a hole in the center. Through the hole, you can see light; bright brilliant light that nearly blinds you. It is a pure white in color, and as you watch a shadow moves across it slightly.

The flames continue to expand, creating a pool of light nearly as tall as you are. Entranced, you stand up from the chair where you sat, and move closer to the light. The shadow you saw earlier moves across again, this time you feel that you can make out some details. It is humanoid, with a lithe, svelte form. It moves closer to the "surface", and as you watch it's hand, or what you think is it's hand extends to touch at the encircling flames. Where it touches, ripples appear in the light, like a liquid surface recoiling from a stone throw.

A voice, powerful in your head, makes itself known. "Let me in..." it whispers in a voice neither male or female, but still beautiful. Your mind wanders, desperately wondering what is the right thing to do. You feel that all you need to do is say yes, and the figure will be let in to your world.
