You sit and wait until the car arrives at the station.

The police car descends towards a helipad on a huge building in the shape of a barrel. You are promptly escorted inside and into another elevator that takes you deep into the bowels of the station. At the end of a short corridor you find yourself inside a large oval room that is tastefully decorated with wooden panelling and portraits of former police officers (you assume).

A heavyset man in a dark suit, with greying hair, enters the room. He takes a seat behind a desk and motions for you to sit in front of him.

“John Doe, is it?” he says. “I’m Director Matthews of Tantalus City Police Department. Let me cut to the chase. We have less than a day to stop a disaster that could wipe out our presence on New Eden. You’re our best chance to stop it, whether we like it or not.” He waves a hand, and the desk between you projects a holographic display of the planet you presume you’re on, complete with its two moons.

Director Matthews points to a space station orbiting the planet. “Titania Station. We lost contact with the crew four hours ago. Three hours ago, the station started broadcasting a signal to all drones and robots that were manufactured there. We’ve managed to override the signal in most cases, but we’re starting to see reports of drone-on-human attacks coming in. The victims are immobilised and brought to orgasm repeatedly until they die of exhaustion. It’s only a matter of time before we lose control of the situation and mass panic breaks out.”

He continues, “The man you were sent to kill was one of the technical officers for Titania Station. All of the planetside ones, murdered in co-ordinated attacks across Tantalus City. We know you took a control card from your target. That’s the only way we can stop this signal.”

The holographic display zooms in to show Titania station in more detail. You can see that it has a central module with five arms that protrude from it, in the shape of a star.

“We need to get you onto Titania Station and into the command centre. From there you can shut down the signal.”
