You receive a phone call

The next day you find yourself enduring a particularly slow day at work. So slow in fact, that you decide to answer a lunchtime phone call from an unknown number. Upon doing so, you here.

"Hello, is this Oscar?"

It was Cecilia, Adela's sister.

"Oh hey Cecilia. What's going on?"

"Just wanted to chat about Adela's birthday. You know it's coming up, right?"

"Yeah."

"Well, Mom and Dad and I are planning on getting her a car, so you might wanna get her something to go along with it, like some air fresher or some seat belt covers or something?"

"Oh uh... Thanks for the tip."

"No worries. So how's your day been?"

"Uh good. How are doing with the monkeys?"

Cecilia chuckles. "Uh, well one of them decided my blouse needed a blue paint stripe, but other than that, it's been fine."

"Heh. Well thanks for the heads up."

"No problem."

"Guess I'll see you around."

"See you."

After work, you consider heading off to buy Adela a gift. You figure that Grace might still be around, so instead, you head straight for Adela's apartment. Inside, you find the two girls cooking in the kitchen. Grace turns around and says "Oh. Hey Oscar. Have a good day at work?"

"Yeah. What about you two?"

Grace looks over to Adela who exchanges a devious smile with her new lover. Grace then says "I think we'll talk about that after dinner."

"Oh okay. Guess I'll wanna hear all about it."

"Probably." Adela says as she moves to grab three bowls. "Anyway, dinner's ready."

Both you and Grace sit down at Adela's table. She serves up a bowl of spaghetti and then takes her own seat. As you dig in, Adela says "You know Oscar, Grace and I had an idea?"

"Yeah?"

"We thought maybe you two could go on a date Thursday when I'm busy streaming."

"Sure. I mean if you're okay with that?"

"I mean we'll have plenty of time to spend together as it is, so I think it's only fair." Grace interjects.

"Guess it's a date then."

"Great."

The three of you proceed to eat. You finish first, eager to hear about what Adela and Grace got up to whilst you were at work.
