Chapter 37
by
Manbear
Do you enter the tent now? Or back away and confront Alexia later in private?
You need time to think
What's going on in there? Even for your keen eyesight the waxed canvas of the tent is too thick to see anything other than the faint shadows, but you do hear a few more soft moans and sighs coming from within.
"He is dreamy, Lady Alexia." One of the girls sighs languidly, "I don't blame you one bit, if I were you I'd let him do whatever he wanted and I wouldn't care what anyone thinks." This must have been Sara, because the next voice is definitely Mara.
"That goes for us too, Sara." You listen is stunned silence as she continues. "You know what people will think about us no matter what King Kalion decides." This young woman had clearly already thought through their situation and come to her own conclusion. Everyone knows that we were given to King Kalion so he could violate our sweet young bodies, even Mom and Dad think that's what's gonna happen. So I say if he wants me all he has to do is ask."
"Mara!" The more innocent twin sounds as shocked as you by her sister's decision.
"Don't 'Mara' me, you little princess." The banter between the sisters continues, "you might not come out and say it, but I know you'd be more than happy to let that 'big bad lover' lower you to his bed, spread your pretty legs and make a woman out of you."
You step away from the tent abruptly, not willing to listen to any more of this. You need time to think, someplace where you can process all this new information without the distraction of soft female flesh. Moving away from Alexia's tent you remember that your difficulties with females is only part of the trials you've faced since arriving outside this city. Along with the vision of Aphrodite, you have to deal with what your mother told you as well. Something is happening in Athenapolis, something important, and you have to figure out what it is if you hope to ever take your place among the Gods.
As always when you want to think, you walk to the Roosts and saddle Spook. Spook climbs the wooden tower as eager as you are to take to the skies, and you let him do his thing until you're climbing steadily into the sky above the fields below where your army is assembled. Only then to you pull his head to the north, away from the city towards a small mountain. High above you, as always, is a trio of United Army Drakes, but as you wing away from the besieged city the Riders return to patrolling the skies above your camp.
You have Spook land on top of a plateau near a cliff with a cave just big enough for him to enter. Its a perfect location where he could fly from easily if he needs to, and you see signs of many other drakes having occupied this cave. The climb down the smooth cliff is easy for you, although a normal man would have a much harder time, and when you reach the bottom you start back towards the city determined not let anything or anyone stop you. The sun is slipping lower in the sky by the time you reach the outer rim of light forests surrounding the city, but the long walk has done nothing to resolve the confusion you are feeling about Alexia and the twins. One thing that has become clearer is there is a driving **** pushing you towards the city.
Do you make it to Athenapolis without trouble?
