You need a break from this - head back to Rome!

You sigh. While there's still much to be done here, you can't spend all this time away from Rome without feeling like you're going a little bit crazy. And there's work to be done there as well...perhaps it's best that you head back to Rome for a little while.

Mind made up, you head downstairs. After breakfast, you inform Adolphus of your decision. He nods slowly. "Very well. I'm sure you have much pressing business, Lord Gaius. But please - don't leave us here for too long. Who knows what those bandits could get up to." He grasps your hand firmly. "I look forward to seeing you and working with you again soon."

By mid-morning you're ready to go, and have commandeered a wagon and a driver to take you back to the city. The entire household, small though it is, turns out to see you off. It's a couple of uneventful days' journey to Rome, and when you get there you find the city much as you left it.
