You marry Basil

After many months of planning, it's finally the day of your wedding. You are practically bouncing on your hooves, excited to finally be Basil's consort. You'll finally be rid of your father's name, taking on your husband's instead. A smile is permanently etched on your face as you imagine your new husband, waiting for you at the alter. Finally you'll be able to kiss him, hold him, dance with him, love him and know that no one can take him from you.

Below you, the dressmaker tsks his displeasure as your movement almost ruins his stitch. You smile sheepishly down at him before you focus on staying still. Normally, fauns wouldn't deal with clothing and such, but seeing as your new mentors, Zaos and Daybreak, as well as a few royal elves, dwarves, and fae are coming you've decided a bit of cloth is required. The elf who made your dress has done a marvelous job. It was a pale green dress with the flowers from your proposal crown embroidered in, The flowers went in a spiral pattern, from the hem to your chest. He was simply fixing a few odd and ends on before the ceremony.

When he finishes, he steps away. Again, you marvel at the beauty of it. "Thank you so much, Master Aiwin." you say, bowing slightly to the elf, "You've done a magnificent job."

"It was my pleasure, your highness." he says, bowing in return before looking over the dress again with a critical eye, "I believe that it everything, dress-wise. Now, all we need is the finishing touch..."

Aiwin heads for a nearby box, pulling out a beautiful crown. A gift from the nearby dwarves, it is made with silver. In the metal are flowers and leaves made out of gemstones. The fae had taken it upon themselves to enchant the crown with protection spells. It was a sign of not only their support of this marriage, but one of loyalty to the Everlasting Oaks. If the Ancient Forests, or any of the other kingdoms, attempted to overthrow Basil and yourself, they would come to your aid.

The elf gently places it upon your head. "Now, you are ready." he says, smiling at you.

You smile back, feeling yourself tear up a bit. While you are nowhere as close to Aiwin as you are your mentors, he's been a loyal friend. While he makes all your clothing, he also listens to you ramble on and gives good advice when asked.

There is a soft knock on the door. With your permission, one of the royal servants come into the room. "The ceremony is about to start soon. Are you ready, your highness?"

You nod, letting Aiwin take you by the arm and lead you out the door. Together the two of you meet up with Zaos and Daybreak by the doors.

Zaos is your elvish mentor, who has been expanding your repertoire of healing and nature spells. He's handsome for an elf, with dark hair and bright blue eyes. He stands well above you, but never makes you feel like you are less then him. The older man tears up a little at the sight of you, but quickly regains his composure. He's very much a no-nonsense kind of person.

Daybreak is your fae mentor, who is teaching you more offensive magic. You've been gaining mastery of fire and water magics under his tutelage. He's not considered very attractive by fae standards, but you consider his inner beauty more important and the outer. He has a set of glasswing butterfly wings, along with blonde hair and orange eyes. He's openly crying and doesn't stop himself from wrapping you in a hug. "You look wonderful Forrest!" he says.

"Thank you so Daybreak." you say, holding him tightly for a moment before reaching for Zaos, "Are you ready to do this?"

The two nod, each taking an arm as Aiwin goes to find a seat. You've never been as happy as you've been over the past year. You're allowed to travel the world and learn new magic. You have a wonderful partner who respects you and supports everything you do. You've gained wonderful friends who love you for you. Everything is falling into place.

Together, the three of you begin to march down the aisle. Your eyes are locked onto Basil. The other faun is dressed furs and also is wearing a new crown. He can't help but grin as he finally gets to see you. You begin to tear up. It's finally going to happen.

Zaos and Daybreak give you away and the ceremony begins. You make your vows, tie your hands together with flowered vines, and plant a camellia tree together. Finally, you two kiss and are officially married. Your guests cheer and the two of you walk down the aisle together as husbands. Some of your guests begin to throw wildflower seeds. This section of the grounds will eventually grow into a garden to symbolize your love.

Afterwards, you all spend the night dancing and drinking merrily. As you dance with your new husband, you finally are able to let go of the past. You are no longer Forrest Greenwood, but Forrest Blossom. This life is your own and you can't wait to see where it goes.
