You lose again.

You really are unlucky, you've lost three games in a row.

The other players are laughing at you. You want to keep playing in the hope of getting your ****, but you don't have any more chips.

“What should I do?” The question goes round and round in your head. Without chips, you can't keep going, and you definitely don't want to stay in a place like this. If only there was someone who could lend you a couple of chips...

“Great, another game won!” You hear Jonh shout from the table next to you.

You can't believe how lucky your friend is. Unlike you, he hasn't lost a single game since he got here, so he must have a lot of chips saved up, and since you two are best friends, he probably won't mind lending you a few.

You take advantage of the fact that John has finished his game to approach him. “Hey, can I talk to you?” you say sheepishly. You've never liked asking to borrow things.

“Yes... I wanted to ask if you could lend me some tokens...” You say. You've known him for several years, so he probably won't say no.

John puts one of his hands on your shoulder and says, “I'm sorry, Liam, I can't lend you any.” His words hit you like a bucket of cold water. You really didn't expect him to refuse.

You panic, but his next words calm you down a little. “But that doesn't mean I can't help you.” You don't understand what he means. The only way you can think he can help you is by giving you tokens.

John continues talking, “I know you have really bad luck. If I give you chips, you'll probably lose them easily.” His words are cruel but true. With your bad luck, even if he lent you anything, there's no guarantee you'd win.

“So how do you plan to help me?” you ask. You're curious about how he can help you without giving you chips. Maybe he's thinking of giving you some advice? But without chips, that would be useless...

“Let's form a team. I'll play and give you half the chips I win, but if I lose, you'll get the punishment. Deal?” John finishes speaking, and now it's your turn to decide.
