You get close to them

The two ships begin to face each other, exchanging shot after shot in the blackness. Elena is able to dodge all projectiles, and she delivers blow after blow on the enemy vessel. She is just perfect! After evading another shot, she makes a half-loop in the blackness even a Coalition pilot could envy, and you are right on top of them.

You watch the enormous gun turn and turn, hopelessly, unable to catch you in sight even for a second. All the while you keep shooting, and you keep hitting them, despite all their efforts to get out of this mess. You smile. It is a glorious sight alright. But somehow it is too good to be true.
