You get chastized by your mother and mess with your powers some more

“YOU WATCH YOUR LANGUAGE, YOUNG MAN!”

Your mother ends your revelry rather abruptly, shouting at you from all the way down stairs and clear across the house. You wince out of reflex and sheepishly move to the door, cracking it open to meekly reply, “Sorry,” before closing and locking your door once again. Whatever you do next, you'll have to do it quietly.

Unless…

“I wish my bedroom was sound proof,” you declare before turning on the spot, looking over your small bedroom with baited breath.

You expect to see sparks of magical energy in the air or hear the ringing enchanted bells or… or something to show your wish is being/has been granted; you are sadly disappointed when, after a few seconds, no such fanfare or flourish happens.

You nervously test your latest wish, calling out, “Hey, Mom?”

No reply.

“Mom!?” you yell, a little louder this time

Nope, no reply.

“LISA!?” you Shout, calling her by her fist name.

Nada.

“LISA! ANN! Miller! CAN! YOU! HEAR! ME!?!” You scream at the top your lungs, calling her by her full given name.

Zilch.

After a few seconds, you crack open your bedroom door and tepidly call out, “Hey, Mom?”

One second. Two seconds. Three Seconds. Four- “Yes, Dear?” she replies. How does she do that, you wonder, how does she carry her voice clear across the house like that?

“What, uhh,” you pause, trying to think of something, “what are we having for dinner?”

“Spaghetti.”

Damn, you wish you weren’t having spaghetti for dinner YET again.

“A-Actually,” she hesitates, before doubling down, “does Pizza sound good?”

“Uh, yeah, Mom. Pizza, uh, sounds great!”

“Great, I'll let you know when it gets here.”

“Sweet! Thanks, Mom!” You reply, closing the door and taking a big step back before punching the air with excitement.

You can do anything you want! Anything!
