You get a text from her later that night

You hung your head in your hands and groaned, wanting to take a break from staring at your computer. You were busy catching up on lesson plans as throughout most of the day you have been distracted thinking about Sydney. You’ve started to feel like a fool, anytime a notification comes through your phone you immediately check to see if it’s her. It’s almost as if you were a child again.

Bzz bzzz. You looked over as it virbrated on your desk. Because of the sound you put it on silent but even that didn’t really help. You picked it up and saw it was from Sydney. You couldn’t help putting a peach emoji next to her name. Almost instantly you clicked the notification bringing up your new chat.
