You get a dinner companion

"Dean Hawkfeather! Care for some company?" a voice stops you, and you turn to see Honey Thibodeaux approaching with a smile.

"Of course. You're welcome to join me," you say politely, although you'd much rather be alone with your thoughts.

"Thank you. I prefer not to dine alone. And to be frank, I prefer the company of a gentleman when I do," she smiles, putting a hand on your arm. She's so charming you can't help but return her smile as you escort her into the dining hall.

Instead of the buffet arrangement of the earlier meals, the room is laid out more formally, with place settings and table clothes. It's about half full of students, with only a few teachers at the head table. Honey nods towards the end of the table where two seats are well separated from other faculty members. You pull out a chair for her and she sinks into it with a gracious smile as you sit opposite her.

"Tell me Kyle, what's going on between you and Diana?" The question takes you aback and you hesitate before answering.

"Well, it's been a little tense with my insistence on enforcing the Code of Conduct the-"

"Not that, you big oaf." Honey interrupts you sharply. "I mean between you and her, did you get into a fight?"

"No, and if we did, I wouldn't tell you," you answer with a frown. She puts a gentle hand on your arm and gives you a disarming smile.

"Don't get annoyed,"she says, "but I've known Diana for a long time now, and something's going on with the two of you..." she pauses and looks away as she continues to think out loud. "If you two haven't been fighting - Oh Holy Shit!" Her fingers tighten on your arm "You fucked! I figured it would be Coach Watts, but you're the one who got into her pants."

You meet Honey's questioning gaze levelly, refusing to confirm her speculation, but not willing to lie about it either. She accepts your silence as confirmation and she gets a silly grin on her face that she doesn't bother to hide.

"That must have been hot!" She licks her bright lips as she stares at you. "You didn't have that much time either. Must have been a wham-bam-thank you Ma'am kind of thing, followed by a quick shower and change of clothes, huh?" Her bantering tone annoys you and you pull your arm from her touch.

"Good day Miss Thibodeaux," you try to keep your voice pleasant and low but you suspect this Cajun mind-reader can read you as well as she reads her friend. "I have some work in my office that needs my attention."

"Wait, Kyle." Honey stops you once again as you start to rise. "If you want a relationship with Di, there are some things you really should know about." She smiles as she sees the sudden interest in your eyes, "Sit down Dean Hawkfeather. You tell me all about banging my friend, and I'll let you know some secrets about her that make her tick."
