* for reference, imagine this obelisk / monolith thing, except it's much wider / larger and has the square and roomy shape of a picture booth, but it's still made of solid, black stone. It would be large enough to fit your entire body into (head to toes), comfortably.

It stood slightly above your height and was strangely enough, placed in the very middle of the path you were walking. Cautiously, you approached it slowly. This nevertheless caused the alien block of stone to react in some kind of way...
