Chapter 4
by Veiled
What do you think?
You don’t want that
While it was nice of Jill to offer to help make some extra money, you still didn’t want her to become a camgirl or streamer or whatever the proper term was. From what she’d told you, it sounded like she would need to show off a fair amount of skin and would basically just be fishing for donations from horny men on the internet. That’s not what you wanted from your future wife. You wanted her to be yours, only yours. You didn’t want her to show off her figure to other men, even if it was only over video, even if she stayed anonymous, and even if it would help ease your current financial situation. You’d already had the chance to rely on others to support you. You could’ve reached out to your family, or desperately tried to ingratiate yourself to your boss, but instead you had preferred to live within your own means, and carry your own burdens.
You’d been honest with Jill about your thoughts and feelings in the past, and so you decided to do the same now. “I appreciate the thought Jill, I really do. But… I don’t think I’d really be comfortable with that. I’m sorry.” You told her. She smiled and shrugged. “That’s okay! It’s no big deal. Like I said, it was just a random, far-fetched idea. I’m happy to just forget about it.” She told you, and you got the sense that she was telling the truth. Maybe Jill had felt guilty about how expensive the wedding was going to be, but she also respected your judgment. She didn’t bring up the idea again, and that was that. As the following weeks and months passed, you and Jill became more and more involved in planning the wedding’s logistics. Who to invite, the venue, the music, the food. The list went on and on. Sometimes it was tiring. Sometimes it was exciting. But working together to make all of these plans and arrangements always made you feel closer to Jill.
Finally, the big day arrived. It was a lavish event at a beautiful country club which looked out over the edge of the sea. Everything was just as Jill had wanted, and you were surrounded by smiling friends and family, happy to share in the joyful day with you. Even the weather seemed supportive, the sky a bright blue with hardly a cloud in the sky. When Jill walked down the aisle towards you, she looked absolutely radiant in her intricate white dress. She was simultaneously beaming at you and wiping happy tears from her eyes as the ceremony began. Once the vows were done, you kissed her to immediate cheers and jubilation from all of your guests. You took her hand and hurried back down the aisle, leading her to the waiting car which would take you off to your honeymoon. While there would still be more obstacles and hardships ahead, such as repaying your loans, right now those troubles seemed far away. Despite everything that might have gone wrong, you had made it through your engagement, and your happy marriage to Jill would now begin.
