You do not want to involve Rachel

With a heavy sigh you look away, "Jess, we can't do this. We never should have brought your sister into this."

Her lip trembles for a moment before she tumbles into your arms and softly sobs. You cannot help yourself and gently sob with her while you pat her head. You would be giving up a lot but you knew it would be the right thing to do.

You hold her at arm's length and wipe away one of her tears, "whoever this asshole is, I'm not about to let them screw up someone else's life."

She gives you a faint smile and then her phone rings. She reaches for the phone and shoulders slump, "it's Rachel."

You give her a silent nod and she nods in response before answering the phone, "hello, sis."

Hours later you met up with Rachel again, this time as Jessica and yourself. "So, what is the big emergency?"

You are troubled by her whimsical way of speech; she really has no idea how serious this is.

"It is about yesterday," says Jessica before Rachel interjects.

"Ya, what happened? I never heard from you," Rachel squints her eyes as she continues. "A female emergency is all I heard." Her eyes lift from Jessica to you and double in size. "Oh my god," she looks back at Jessica. "Did you get knocked up?"

You both jump at this and say in unison, "What? No!"

Now fluster, Jessica bursts out, "we think you're knocked up."

Rachel is taken back by this comment. "What?"

"Yesterday, some friends of ours, Tina and Jessie, they...they..." Jessica trails off not sure how to tell her sister.

"They took off the condom," you say for her your face turning a bit red.

She looks at each of you in turn, stunning you both when she begins to laugh.

Jessica shakes her head in an attempt to dispel her disbelief brought on by her sisters' laughter, "no, we're serious. You need to get a morning after pill."

Rachel, still laughing, pulls out a package from her bag and tosses it to Jessica who catches and drop her jaw as she reads 'Plan-B' on the box.

"I figured something was up with those two yesterday," she says and both Jessica and you sigh with relief.

She puts on a smile, "So how did you get your genders swapped like that?"

Dumbstruck you jump and both Jessica's and your eyes shoot open. Unable to speak yourself, Rachel's smile grows wider, "I'm not totally stupid but I still have no idea how something like that could have happened."

"What..." you cough, "what makes you think that?"

"Mostly your reaction just now but secondly, you two conveniently know too much."

Jessica and you look at one another. You did not think it would have been that obvious. "You wouldn't believe us if we told you," you say.

"I already can't believe it so you might as well tell," she says.

You shake your head, there is no point in holding anything back now.

Jessica and you finish explaining minutes later, "...then this stranger called again this morning and told us if we wanted to keep our genders, we would need to make sure you kept the kids."

"We couldn't do that. You had nothing to do with this and it was wrong to bring you into it, we're sorry," Jessica finishes this last part holding back tears and unable to look at her sister, whom had remained silent.
