You get up and go to your door. You crack it open and look around, you dont see anyone, but your view isn't the best. You open the door wider and look down the hallway, empty. Tiptoeing down the hallway to the stairs you peek around the corner, seeing a glimpse of your mom leaving the kitchen your heart races, she almost saw you. your mom likely went into the living room, if she is on the couch she would be facing away from the kitchen so you carefully go downstairs, not making any sound.

"OH YEAH, TAKE THAT!" Your brother yells from the basement.

You freeze in place at the bottom of the stairs. You have eyes on your mother, the back of her head anyway. You tiptoe into the kitchen and go to the cabinet with the glasses in it. Managing to open it and grab one silently, you silently praise your skills. You bring it to the sink and you realize there is no way to get water quietly.

You turn the faucet on and fill the glass. the noise of this prevents you from hearing your brother's friend come upstairs. after filling the glass you turn around and come face to face with your brother's asshole friend.

he pauses for a moment then says
