You decide to join in

''I'm in,'' you blurt out.

"My man!,'' Jimmy exclaim, holding out a fist, which you ignore. He has caused enough problems for today. You're keeping an eye on Jimmy you convince yourself, making sure that he doesn't get himself into any more troubles.

The expression on Leah's face is hard to read, but if you're not wrong, she seems feeling rather smug after hearing your answer.

''It's decided then,'' Leah gets up, ''You can go home now, I'll be in touch.''

''What a bitch,'' Jimmy turns to you and mouth silently.

''Oh, before that, '' Leah's voice snaps your attention and Jimmy's to her. A black pen in her hand is pointed towards Jimmy.

''I thought you - ,'' Jimmy mutters and you can see the colour drain from his face.

''I lied,'' Leah smirks and zaps Jimmy square in the chest. She produces a brown paper bag with a fashion retailer's logo emblazoned on it before stuffing Jimmy's skin and his clothes. ''Zip him up outside.''

''I can't believe it! Why did she have to zap me?'', that's the first thing coming out from Jimmy's mouth after he had gotten himself dressed back in your room.

''Dude, shut up,'' you stop his complains, ''What happened?''

''What happened what?'', Jimmy retorts

''Leah,'' you say hotly, '' What did you do?''

''I don't know,'' Jimmy shrugs, ''Look, I really don't know what happened,'' He reiterates his sentence to convince you. ''It must've been the pen acting up, or something.''

You exhale, there's no point in getting mad at Jimmy right now. Instead, your mind goes to Leah, ''What do you think she's gonna make us do?''

''It's obvious isn't it?'' a smirk returns to Jimmy's face. ''She's gonna use us to get to the things she wants.''

''I know that much,'' you quip.

You and Jimmy spend the rest of the afternoon talking about the possibilities of what will happen next.

You spent the next few days at school expecting Leah to suddenly call you and Jimmy, but to your puzzlement, she doesn't. You did saw her a few times in the hallways, but she pretended to not know you at all, even the times when you caught her looking at you.

In many senses, it was the return to normality that you thought would never happen anymore after you discovered the pens. Except for some brief moment when Jimmy asked you if you heard anything yet from the cheerleader. It appeared that he was equally in the dark as well.

It wasn't until Saturday morning that you heard again from Leah

''Take your pick,'' Leah says to you and Jimmy when the three of you meet up at Jimmy's that Saturday afternoon. There are two skins laid out in front of you.

The two skins look familiar and upon closer inspection, you realize that they are cheerleaders from your school.

''Isn't that Kelly and Meghan?'' Jimmy quips beside you, putting names on the deflated faces. You can count on Jimmy for stuff like this.

''Do you want us to wear them?'', you ask.

''There's a party this evening at Sonya's, just cheerleaders and some important people...''

Leah brings out the brown pen,

''... So I want you to wear them, go to the party, but stay out of my way. It's not like you two have anything important going on tonight, right?''

You clam up about your plan to take your girlfriend out and thank your lucky stars that you actually haven't talked to her about it yet.

''Of course,'' Jimmy says gleefully, he grabs Kelly's skin and holds it out with both hands, letting you see her lifeless and deflated features, ''But if you don't want us, or rather, them to get in the way, couldn't we just stay at their houses or go somewhere else?'' Jimmy looks at you.

Leah shakes her head, ''You'll understand when I zap you, for now, just choose.''
