You behave like Charli with ease but your Dawn-self stays in charge

The costume shop in town is perfect for two reasons. It has quite a collection of elaborate costumes to pick from and it was far away enough that you would feel whether you can keep you Dawn-personality from being pushed to far into the background or not.

It works like a charm. You meet some friends of Charlotte, well of you now, and it is just as easy to be the new-you as it was to be Dawn. What surprises you is how easy it seems to still remember that you are Dawn and nip some of Charli's habits in the bud. Well you are not really Dawn, or Charlotte for that matter, but you are the only part of Dawn that is still around and are her in every part that matters. A little treacherous voice reminds you that you once were Josh but you shrug it off and revel how much better it feels to leave free reign to your Dawn-self. How downright wrong your action's as Dawn were and still are does not even occur to you. What you want (or rather that the Dawn-you wants) goes other people be damned. Your time as Josh seems more and more as nothing but a bad dream.

By the time you part ways with your acquaintances you are completely confident that you can not only live Charlotte rather enviable life but live it much better than her. That thought makes you giddy and it is hard not cackle a bit in glee. Slowly you start to stamp out some of your more annoying traits. No more self-deprecating remarks that were meant, rather frighteningly come to think of it, completely serious. Likewise you plan to stand out, no more stunningly beautiful shrinking violet act for Charlotte. Of course you will need to take it slow, as grating as it may prove to be. After all you do NOT want the wrong kind of attention.

One thing, though, is not quite as clear cut. It is how you will act towards Michelle. Charlotte followed her around like a lost puppy at times and nursed a big crush on her. Michelle greatly appreciated her in turn though it is not clear to you whether she knows about Charlotte's feelings or not. You quickly discard the idea that Michelle may be faking ignorance, she is just too nice a girl to do so. Those feelings are hard to control as they are very important to Charli. On top of that what bit of Josh that remains inside you is still quite infatuated with Michelle. All things considered you still want to close to her but how close you don't know yet.
