You recognize it from the house, largely because of your signature. The rest of the writing is in a strange script, somehow focusing on it makes it change from an illegible mess to readable. You speed read through the part of the contract describing your benefits, eventually reaching the cost.

"Signatory promises her hand in...marriage!?" Your blood freezes in your veins, there's no way this can be happening. "I didn't read all of this I wouldn't have-"

"My love, you signed the contract without reading it. I did nothing to stop you from reading it either! Honestly I wasn't even sure if I was going to collect but when I saw you yesterday I was shocked at just how beautiful you had become, I simply had to move things up." You break out of his grip and try to run but the maid and your former friend block you, sinister smiles plastered on their faces.
