Chapter 2 by lovelymess212 lovelymess212

Who are you, and where do you start your journey?

You are John, a transphobic girl visiting a magic shop

As you approach the shop, you see that it sticks out from the rest of the buildings around it, the very style and architecture of the building is different. It looks like it could have come straight out of a storybook, or a Victorian era house in the woods, except in the middle of this busy city. The air around it seemed to change, and its allure proved too irresistible for someone fascinated by crystals and other things being advertised at the shop. It's exterior was painted various complimenting shades of black, except various plants growing by the windows and in front of the shop featured vibrant colors of all kinds.

Stepping inside, the shop smelled of lavender and other assorted candles, herbs, and incense, mixed with the scent of plastic and paper from tarot card decks, packaged "spellbooks" and other assorted commodities. As you enter, a bell rings from the door opening, and you hear a voice calling to you from the counter in the back.

"Welcome to Lucy's Witchy Warehouse! Let me know if you need anything!" The bubbly girl had said. She smiled warmly and waved in her stereotypical witch outfit, complete with the iconic style hat.

You greet the girl but don't pay her too much mind as you begins browsing, Looking over some of the pricier items like crystal balls and such before finally settling on a few crystals to take with you on your journey. You approach the register, and as you do, you notice a transgender flag pin on the ... "girl's" hat. You hate it when these people think they can trick you into treating them differently, so you speak up.

"Ugh, why did this nice place have to be run by a fucking tranny..." You say, scowling

The witch looks at you with first shock, but then her expression changes to one of pure malice. "Yeah... we don't do that here. You can either try to have a little empathy for people with different struggles than you, or you can take your nasty ass somewhere else." Her face holds a condescending smile the entire time.

You scoff, putting your purse back over your shoulder and turning to go, leaving the crystals you had picked out on the counter. As you push out the door, the witch tells you not to come back to her establishment. Whatever.

You decide to keep going with your day, but something feels... off, as you go about your business. At first it starts with lethargy, then aching, and brain fog. It got worse, though, so bad you had to call off your plans and head straight home to your apartment. By the time you got in the door you were ready to pass out, breaking out in sweats and in full body pain. In the haze, you only barely managed to take a couple of ibuprofen before falling into the bed. Your stomach twisted and churned with nausea as you couldn't help but drift off into the temporary reprieve of sleep.

The next morning
