You and Yu can't just stand by!

Steadfast, you push away your new ally's hand. You know you'd just agreed to work with her, but this was non-negotiable.

Yu signals you, counting down. Your hand drifts your knife, and your body tenses.

One.

Two.

Haya exhales through her nose angrily, drawing her hands away.

Three.

You spring forth, knife in hand. As you dash towards the very surprised group of people (about four? Maybe five, with the woman?), Yu lets forth a mighty declaration: "The mineyama hero, Mt. Lady, is on the scene!"

"Hero?!" An imposing, barrel-bodied man asks incredulously. That voice... You suppose that'd be Suda. He jeers. "Hear that boys? Jiggle-tits here's callin' herself a hero! I don't know who the hell you are, but it's obvious you ain't been here long, so I'll let ya in on somethin'; there are no heroes on this island, sweetheart!"

In response, Yu activates her quirk, growing to a towering height and splintering several trees in the process. Realizing what's about to occur, you scramble forward, grabbing hold of the woman's arm, before diving to the side. And just in the nick of time, too. Yu's colossal foot scrapes across the ground, as though she was kicking a soccer ball, and a tidal wave of earth is blown forth.

"Shit! Brace yourse-" That man- Suda- is cut off, as the group is blasted backwards.

Tentatively, you raise your head, surveying the destruction.

A swathe of earth, perhaps forty-five feet across, has been completely upturned, and dirt is sprayed across several knocked-over trees. Suda and his gang are shakily rising, casting fearful glances at the still colossal Yu.

"Y-you're gonna regret that lady!" Suda sputters, spitting out dirt.

"Oh yeah? That's some tough talk! How 'bout you come over here and MAKE me regret it!"

Nobody says anything or makes a move. Finally, Suda breaks the silence. "R-retreat!" he yells, as he and his friends hastily make their escape. "But I mean it, you bitch! Kugo will hear about this!"

"Yeah, you better run! Ya piss-pants cowards!" Yu laughs as she shrinks down to her normal size, beaming. "Still got it. You see that Ren? If guys like those are all we gotta deal with, we got nothin' to worry about!"

"Yeah. You cleaned house." you agree in amazement. Without the constraint of worrying about property damage, Mt. Lady was truly a **** to be reckoned with.

A sound jolts you from your thoughts. Looking downwards, you see the woman you'd saved, still kneeling on the ground, sniffling wetly and rubbing her eyes. "Hey, hey! It's ok now, you're safe." Yu says comfortingly, bending down and extending her hand towards the woman.

In response, the woman slaps away Yu's hand. Stunned, Yu draws back. An awkward silence fills the air. You finally clear your throat and break the pause. "Uh, are you alright? The... Those guys are gone, you know."

The woman whips her head up, suddenly manic. "Am I alright? Am I ALRIGHT? Do you, like, have ANY idea how deep of shit I'm gonna be in because of you two? I'm like, SO fucked. Am I alright... are YOU alright? What the hell is wrong with you? Did I ASK for help?"

"Hey!" Yu interjects. "We saved you!"

"Saved me?! What, didja think those guys were gonna kill me? How dense are you?! Guess what they say is true, all tits, no brains. Now, I'm gonna get whatever they would've done to me, like, times ten!" She stands up and begins to storm off.

"The hell? Are you going back to those clowns?! They'll hurt you!"

"What other choice do you think I have, genius? God, like, how naïve can you get?!"

"Wait!" Yu begins to jog after her, but is stopped by a firm hand on her shoulder. You turn to see Haya, having emerged from her hiding spot. Her expression is smoldering.

"Let her go. You can't help someone who doesn't want help. Why do you think I held you back? And... she's not wrong. Those who are not strong enough to survive on their own must rely on others."

"She was going to be ****!" you protest.

"You think she didn't account for that possibility when she chose to stick with those guys? She knew what she was getting into. More importantly... Do you have any idea what you've done? This partnership was beneficial to you because of my greater experience. But did you choose to listen to me? No. Now, we've lost the advantage of you two being unknown. The presence of such a powerful quirk will become common knowledge. I hope you're satisfied with your pointless heroics. If you two want to live, you're going to need to stop caring so much."

Yu pulls herself from Haya's grip, stone faced. "This island may have stripped me of my dignity, but I won't let it rot my morals. Maybe you're fine with that, but not me."

Haya coldly turns away, before gesturing for the both of you to follow. "Then you'd better be prepared to die for those lofty morals... hero."
