Chapter 10 by Koriandr Koriandr

What happened next?

You and Selina narrowly escape the authorities, making it to her safehouse.

You followed Selina's lead, albeit tripping here and there at first. While running and jumping from roof to roof, narrowly evading the GCPD chopper's spotlight, you noticed Selina seemed to be getting along much easier than you were. You'd only just barely gotten the hang of having a Babsified body. Suddenly having much more emphasized curves in a tighter outfit with heels to boot made your situation less than ideal.

Thanks to Catwoman, you both managed to avoid the cops and caught a second to breathe.

"Hurry up, kid! I'm gonna be real pissed off if you get my body arrested!" Selina chirped in Barbara's voice, stopping to look back at you.

"Hey, it's not my fault that you choose to rob people in BDSM gear!" You groaned, Selina's voice exiting your lips. That was still going to take some getting used to. You leaned against a wall, annoyedly glancing down at your sizable cleavage. And you thought Babs was stacked.

"Not too different from what you got on," she tugged playfully at the material of the batsuit she was wearing, letting it snap back against her skin. "Your problem is you're still tryna move like a bat. Try moving like a cat instead~" Selina smirked, firing a grappling hook and ascending.

_"Wait up!" You called, grumbling as she continued on. "Move like a cat... what does that even mean?!"_ You groan, beginning to scale the building. Without a grappling hook and her center of gravity even more off now than it was before, she struggled. But the more she pounced using her claws rather than climb, the easier it became. Her new form seemingly used to operating with catlike movements, which was a no-brainer now that you thought about it.

"Took you long enough. Doing better, though," Selina teased, offering you a hand. You took it, the thief helping you up over the ledge to a balcony.

"Where even are we?" You asked, realizing you'd just climbed up an ordinary apartment building.

"One of my safehouses," she turned, finding a key above the frame and opening the sliding door. "We're going to lay low for a bit while we figure out this whole Ankh situation," she entered. You followed in after her, seeing the dimly lit interior of the safehouse. The room was adorned with various stolen artifacts, high-tech gadgets, and sleek, modern furniture that seemed out of place in the hidden space.

As you stepped further into the room, Selina tossed a set of keys to you. "Make yourself at home, Batgirl. We might be stuck in each other's bodies for a while, so we better get used to it."

"For a while? But..."

_"Hon' I don't know the true extent of the Ankh's powers, m'kay? We have a couple choices here," she went on. "We can either wait it out, wake up the next day and see if it'll just wear off and make us normal again, or we could contact Bruce and-"_

"Bruce?" You furrowed your brows.

"Wayne? Batman? You seriously think I didn't know who he is? I've lost count of how many times I've spent a night at that little cave of yours. I've seen him naked..."

"Okay, TMI!" You cut her off. Too much. For some reason, the mere mention of Bruce's name gave you goosebumps. Butterflies in your stomach. A strange... warmth... in between your legs. Your thoughts wondered for a second, thinking of him and his sculpted physique, his rippling abs, his broody demeanor. God, did being in this body mean you inherited her attraction to Batman too? You bit your lip, hoping you wouldn't have to find out.

"Yeah, and I know you're Barbara Gordon," Selina pointed out, snapping you out of your trance. "I mean it's obvious really."

"Is it?" You asked, trying to maintain the lie that you're actually the real Barbara Gordon.

"Um... yeah? Batman having a sidekick that matches the same height, hair color, skin tone, and build of the Commissioner's daughter isn't obvious to you?" She shrugged. _"Maybe it's just cuz I've seen you in person?" She took off her cowl, shaking her head to let her auburn hair fall free. "Don't worry, doll, your secret identity is safe with me, as long as when we fix this mess, I get to walk away with the Ankh, that is,"_ she smiled.

There didn't seem to be a way out of letting Selina keep the stupid artifact. Though, you both had more pressing concerns to deal with.

"So what should we do?"

What was the plan?
