He stretches his hand through the portal, you shake it. As soon as your hands' touch you feel a searing pain on your palm that spreads through your arm and settles on your chest, exactly over your heart.

Leom let's go of your hand. "Alright, the contract has been sealed. You won't be able to back out now unless you wanna die that is."

You feel a sinking feeling in your stomach. "Great." you reply. Just what did you get yourself into?

He laughs "Oh lighten up, I gave myself the liberty of giving you a little surprise as a thank you. You'll see it when you need it." He winks. "Guess I'll be seeing you again in a year chosen one."

He turns and calls his sister "Hey Ghodea can you come here real quick?"

You hear a distant sigh of annoyance before seeing the shadow of someone entering the room.

"What is it?" she replies impatiently. "Diascemetes just wagered his stupid trident and I think it would look great in my room-"

"The portal seems to be malfunctioning. You've always been the wiz kid, mind taking a look for me?" He says a beautifully acted embarrassed grin plastered on his face.

"Seriously Leom? You're 3000 years old you should be able to do this on your own." She walks in front of the portal checking for a few seconds, before her eyes settle on you. Not knowing what else to do, you awkwardly wave at her.

"It looks like it's working perfectly fine to me-AH!"

Leom profits from her lapse in concentration to push from behind.

"Maybe a year with the humans will teach you some humility, bitch!"

She goes flying through the portal and into your reality.
