“Umm,sure” you say absentmindedly,your mind still processing what was going on,when you went to bed last night it was 2022,and now somehow more that 1000 years had passed? Everything around you looked like a sci fi video game,were you dreaming? How was this possible?
Your thoughts are interrupted by the chipper voice of CHUBS “CONGRATULATIONS!” the AI said “it seems you have won a special contest by the NewU corporation for an all paid deluxe species change procedure!”
“I don't know what that means!...wait,NewU?” that named sounded familiar,actually,thinking back to news earlier,all the names that gator blob of a news anchor said sounded quite familiar to you for some reason,Glutcorp,Oxi-Pop,they remind you of something,until finally,it hits you
“I made those names up” you say to yourself as you start to waddle to your now futuristic looking desk,it all was falling into place now,the reason everything felt so familiar was because it was part of the cyberpunk story you have been writing last night,even that NewU contest was part of the plot you wrote,as a way to get the main character into a more interesting position (and a much hotter body)
“But how” you ask,before looking down,right there on your desk,was the same cup of bright pink water you drank from last night,”is…is the wishing powder real after all?” you say flabbergasted,it was the only explanation you could come out with,somehow,the powder had transported you into your own fetishistic cyberpunk story
You take the cup and start chugging from it,you needed to test this,you needed to make sure you were not just going insane,the sugary liquid making your ample belly grumble as it hit your stomach,you felt quite hungry “i guess that works” you say before making your test wish
“I wish i had a burger”
And just like that,a burger appeared in your desk,it was a GigaBurger Deluxe,whit the special Gigasauce Crocman was talking on the news,you take the burger,grease and sauce already dripping from your fingers,and you take a bite
You moan,it was real,and it was delicious,this was proof enough,the wishing powder was real,you finish the greasy thing rather quickly before letting out what probably was the loudest burp that has ever come out of your mouth
You look at the cup,the wishing liquid sloshing inside,and you smile,maybe you could have some fun in this future you created
