Chapter 6

How Do Get Into The Building?

You Sneak In Through A Window

Reasoning that walking straight in the front door of a monster-filled mansion isn't the best of ideas, you go around to the side and open a window, quietly slipping inside. Once you're in, you start to hear someone talking.

"No, please! I was... I was just curious! I wanted to-"

The voice is cut off by a sharp, angry growl, and you move to the end of the hall and peek around the corner to see if you can get a look in the room it's coming from. As you lean just enough to peer inside, you see a teenager being threatened by the same purple wolf-man from before, the wolf advancing and the teen backing away.

"Please don't, I just wanted to see if there was anyone here! That's it, please!"

Despite the youth's pleas, the wolf continues his approach, forcing the young man further and further back. At first, you wonder why it would move so slowly instead of simply pouncing on its prey, but then you see it: maybe three meters behind the teenager, there's a large in-ground swimming pool. However, rather than being filled with water, it appears to be filled with a multicoloured... something, its prismatic surface shining in the dim lighting and rippling gently. Given what you've already seen tonight, you can imagine what might result from a swim in there. Unfortunately, the teen doesn't seem to have noticed, and he continues to back towards it.

"No, look, I'm not even tasty! I eat way too much junk food, it'll be the toughest meat you ever had! I'm begging you!"

Soon, he's only a meter away from the pool. You're tempted to yell out, warning him before he falls in, but at the same time, you're worried about what might happen to you if you try to save him. After all, that kid losing his humanity might be bad, but BOTH of you turning into latex animal-men? You shudder at the thought.

Even so, you have to do something... don't you?

What Do You Do?
