You Need to Go Back

You push the voice out of your head and the pain subsides. You've got bigger things to worry about than whatever passenger you have riding in your head.

"Allegra I need you to get away from here." You turn and run back towards the house as she calls out to you but you can't leave knowing Jenny and Keith might still be inside. You make your way through the main entrance, the ticket taker seems to have made himself scarce in the commotion so you go through the door without any hassle. The entry room is still full of zombies and they turn as you enter and slam the door shut behind you. You have no idea how you're going to make it to the basement with so many between you and you find yourself wishing you had some kind of weapon.

Then your forearms open on the sides and a blade comes out of both. As a zombie gets you reflexively swing at it and are amazed at just how easily it passes through, cutting your attacker in half with ease. You're able to make your way through the horde to the basement with ease with your new weapons, though you try to avoid actually killing any of the zombies, either out of reluctance to hurt something that used to be human or hope that they can be helped somehow.

By the time you make it to the stairs the zombies seem to have lost interest in you, instead forcing themselves against the front door. You can only hope the door holds and that there's another way out somewhere in the basement. You enter the basement proper and think about how you're going to find Jenny when your vision changes again. You can suddenly see outlines through the wall and if you focus on them you're even somehow able to find details about them, and before long you're able to pick out Jenny.
