You Need The Key

"The collar can only be removed by the key." The Empty-Eyed Joy says. You scratch your head slightly.

"The key..." You repeat.

She didn't have a key in the box. She just had the collar. She hadn't even mentioned a key back when she still had her...had her faculties. That fact was a problem.

"What key?" You ask.

"The key to the collar."

That was no help. Perhaps you should frame this in a different way. It was like she was a computer. You needed to work your commands carefully or you'd get the wrong information.

"And where can I find this key?" You ask.

"The collar's place of origin."

The store.

Joy had mentioned that she picked up the collar at some kind of unusual shop. It hadn't really registered at the time, but everything you've been through since has validated the statement. Wherever she'd gotten the collar was the place you'd need to go to fix her.

You sigh. Fuck.
