You Catch Him

Lapis opens his mouth to say something else, but before he can you launch the special ball at him. In a flash of light he disappears, the small ball landing on the ground with a thud. It shakes a few times, then stops, its center circle flashing to indicate a successful catch. Two things instantly occur, first Lapis' own pokeball drops to the ground, his Bulbasaur springing free and limping away into the nearby grass, second your pokedex vibrates in your pocket, prompting you to pull it out.

Lapis' entry labels him as a normal type with tackle and leer as his only attacks. Interestingly the entry also has a personality page for pokeslaves, listing his nature as rash and as his sexuality as bisexual. Upon reading this you're immediately caroused. Before you can fully process exactly what you want to do with this information Daisy comes around the corner waving and smiling when she sees you.

"Hi Maroon!" She cheerfully greets you with her signature bright smile. "I've got something for you." She passes you a map of the region, each city and gym marked clearly. "Have you seen my brother? I'm supposed to give him one too."
