You; Emma

You remembered when your father passed; you'd been home a few days while he was in the hospital. Tegan had to stay back at college for some finals, so you felt quite alone. The only one you could really turn to with your grief was Emma. You had to be strong for Sophie, but around Emma, well, you'd never needed to hide.

While you'd all grown up in the same town, you and Tegan didn't really click until high school. For as long as you could remember, your best friend was Emma. Most people thought you would have ended up together, but Emma has a type and you didn't exactly fit into that.

Sure, you'd had those feelings for her at some point. But you'd come to accept that it wasn't meant to be, so your friendship stayed platonic. Things do have a funny way of happening, though.
