“It wasn’t with my wife.”

“Oh.” Mari goes redder as she goes.

“We have an arrangement.” You gesture vaguely. Of course you don’t have an arrangement with your wife, she has no idea what you’re getting up to at work, but Mari doesn’t need to know that.

You decide to push your luck.
