You're struggling to wrap your head around it all

You slouch back into your wooden chair, doing your best to wrap your head around this insane scenario. Your girlfriend, whom you've known for such a long time, had somehow become a God. You were not even sure when that had happened, actually. She could have been a goddess for as long as you've known her. Hell, since she can do anything, what if every single memories you have of her were implanted by her? What is real and not, at this point? The more you think about it all, the more your world shatter. Your head falls into your awaiting hands, blankly staring ahead at something, somewhere.

"Yeah, I knew this would happen," comes the voice of your overpowered girlfriend. "Let's talk it out for a bit, so we can go back to the fun bit. What's on your mind?"

You register her speaking, but there's a delay before you comprehend what she says. You slowly look back at her through your fingers, setting your sight on the angelic face of the entity standing on the side of the table, patiently smiling at you. The view somehow made you open your heart and your mind to her.

"I... I feel powerless. Insignificant. Like my entire life may have been a lie. What is true, what was forged and **** on me? I... D-don't take this the wrong way, but I feel like if I say or do the wrong thing, that... You could just vaporize me in an instant. I'm scared out of my shit right now." You advert your gaze. "I legit don't know what to do, you having every power over me. Can I even say 'no' at this point? Would you even allow me to? I... I'm scared..." you end in a whisper.

You feel yourself getting embraced in Ava's arms, the hug feeling like a warm blanket on your soul. "Let me be open with you. You don't have to be afraid of me whatsoever. Of every single entity in the entire multiverse, you are the only one I've never mindfucked with, ever, out of respect for you being the perfect boyfriend any girl could wish for. It is true that I could modify and read your mind to fit my narrative, but I've done that with others instead, and they become boringly predictable. I always left you exactly as you were, and now that I know the scope of exactly what my powers are, I came back to share them with you. I promise you, on anything you and I hold dear, that the only thing that will change in our relationship is mostly the fact you and I can outright do anything with absolutely no consequences. All you have to do is trust me."

You take a moment to reflect on her speech, until you catch on something. "Wait... 'mostly'?"

"I'm surprised you caught that. But, to make a long story short, when you can do absolutely anything, some things are just **** to change. While before I would have been angered and shocked at stuff like accidental ****, that kind of empathy left me when I can outright bring those back with just a snap of my finger. That kind of stuff. I might slip sometimes, but I promise that, deep down, I'm still the Ava you've known and loved."
