You're ready to play spy

A few minutes under the shower, alternating between hot and cold water clears the cobwebs out of your head. You step out and dry yourself, stepping back into your bedroom with a confident nod at Brian.

"Let's do this!" you laugh, getting an answering grin from the young coach. The two of you change into dark clothing and slip back out into the night. Keeping to the shadows as much as possible, you make your way to the north end of the campus, taking cover behind some bushes in sight of the stone gardening shed.

"So what's the plan?" Brian whispers.

"Last night the girls showed up in groups and went in. I figure we wait for them to enter, give it some time, then follow them."

"Hmm, complex," he grunts with a snort of amusement. "Couldn't you simplify it more?"

"We could start the main building on fire as a diversion. Would that make you happy?"

"That might be....someone's coming," he says, gesturing down the lawn to a cluster of shadowy figures. As they get closer you can hear the murmur of young female voices, although you can't make out any words. You watch as they enter the stone building and pull the door shut after themselves.

"We go now?" Brian asks.

"Not yet. Last night they came in groups. Here's some more." Another group arrives and disappears into the building.

"I counted eight," Brian says. "How many were there last night?"

"Nine. The other one might have come earlier. Let's give it ten minutes and then go in."

He nods agreement, and the two of you settle down to wait.
