You're Feeling Peckish

Your stomach growls, you hadn't noticed just how hungry you are. You have some food at home, you stuff your phone back in a pocket as you head back.

You open the fridge when you get home, it's a lot more sparse than you remember. As you move empty containers you really need to get rid of you see a piece of meat in a corner. For some reason it almost calls to you and you grab it. You don't remember how long its' been in your fridge but it'll probably be fine once you cook it.

But as you look at it you feel more and more hungry. When was the last time you ate, it feels so long ago. You have to wipe away a bit of drool from your mouth, then some feral part of your brain seems to seize control. You hungrily bite into the meat, devouring it in only a few big bites. It tastes disgusting and cold but it seems to satisfy whatever came over you, leaving you staring at your hands in slight shock.

Then your phone rings. You hastily wipe your hands and face off with a towel before you answer.
