Druuna pressed herself into the gully in an attempt to conceal herself. As two shadows appeared above her, she knew she had failed. Nevertheless, she remained motionless, face down in the sand.

"Well looky what we have here, Duke!" said one of the two men.

The second man had a mocking tone in his voice which gave away the fact that he was lying. Nevertheless, Druuna knew that she had little choice but to obey. She stood up slowly. Her naked breasts were only partially masked by a coating of sand from the gully. She was unconsciously aware that the best way for her to stay alive at the moment was to keep them on side, so she made no effort to cover her nudity, and pressed her chest outwards.
