I'm guessing by now you are getting tired of all these questions and my vague telling of what this is about but...

What's the fun in that?

Okay...okay I'm sorry...

Let's get started...

I don't really understand how I ended up with one of the books. I want to say I was "chosen", but no, nothing that grandiose. Let's just say I am the victim (or benefactor, however you want to look at this) of circumstance, bad aim, and a supposed "keeper of the tale," that for all her power and magic didn't know that in this new world of technology the likelihood of a kid picking up a random book has greatly decreased.

Well, when this "keeper" decided to place the book near the "chosen one" on the middle of a park the dust covered hard back book quickly lost the battle of attention to the always entertaining Nintendo 3DS.

Crazy right? In an absolutely predictable sort of way.

This is where our protagonist comes in, a bored 35 year old, single man that decided randomly to take a light jog through the park to stay in shape. That's what he keeps telling himself, but it was more to look for a single woman to talk too. This would be a good strategy if he had any indication of good people skills.

As he stops at one of the park benches he notices the leatherback book sitting on one of the tables near the playground. Reaching for the book he almost could swear that the words moved but when he finally saw the book the title was...
