You don't even have to think it over, just the prospect of seeing Axel again is enough to agree to any plan he came up with. Racing from your home, you go straight to Khayone to reveal the good news. It might not be what he expected when he spoke to you last week, but you know he can't say no to this. He knows how much you missed Axel when you ran away and with an Alpha as your mate, the pack's future would be bright. Sure, there would be more mouths to feed, but you need a larger back to protect and expand your territory. And it would be good to introduce fresh blood to the pack.

You make all of these points as you talk, knowing Khayone would be thinking more along what's best for the pack instead of what you want. "And you said Dusty would be marrying the Solar Silence guy!" you end up saying as a last resort, "And you could still go along with the Red Fang's deal, they just wouldn't be breeding me!"

Khayone is silent for a while, making you worry that this was all for nought. You are slowly resigning yourself to never seeing your friend again when you hear the man laugh. "Tell him you agree." he says, smiling at you, "But he only has a week to get here. And he must prove himself to me and the pack. I will not let one boy ruin what we've made here."
