Deftly stepping between the scattered bones, Misty hurried as carefully as she could as she tried to make it away from the bones. The remains were alien to her, even as someone who doesn't know much about animals. There were animals with antlers that shouldn't have them, like the animal the beast killed early, there were skulls with four eye sockets, and some of the craniums were shaped like no creature she'd ever seen before, not even extinct ones. Finally running out of bones to look at, her feet quietly stepped up onto a shelf of rock along the side of the cave, with a clear path towards the light outside. Misty took one final glance behind her to see if it noticed her.

The beast finished ripping something off the carcass it was mangling and placed it on the ground next to it, causing it to turn its head, and also causing Misty to freeze in place, her eyes staring wide in shock at its face, trying to see if it noticed her. A lock of dirty blonde hair draped over the side of its brow, barely covering its head, but letting just enough light through to allow her to catch the green glint of the side of its iris. With the profile view of its face, silhouetted by fire, it was the first time she could really make out its features. The bottom half of its face was obscured by a short Beard, but she could trace the sharp lines of its nose, brow, and forehead with her eyes, and she finally confirmed to herself that this was a man, a feral man who happened to be a giant, but clearly a man. Feeling a strange connection in that moment, like she wasn't really "alone" in this place anymore, she watched his features, trying to see if she could register an expression on his dirty skin. As he finished placing down his chunk of meat, turning it and flipping it a few times, she could see in his eye that he was inspecting it, and despite his primal nature, she could see an intelligence in his gaze.

Eventually, he turned back to his carcass, facing away from her again, and to Misty's surprise she felt slightly disappointed, knowing that was the last she was going to see of this "beast." But for her safety, she knew better than to stay in this cave, and turned away to tip toe towards the cave exit.
