Chapter 23 by Writerofsmut02 Writerofsmut02

Does he help?

Yes

Without thinking twice, John steps in between the two, dispersing the crowd. "What's going on here, guys?" he inquires confidently.

The head cheerleader looks up and narrows her eyes, sizing him up. She clearly doesn't take kindly to being interrupted. "Excuse me, but we're having a private conversation here," she snaps.

John stands firm. "I don't think you understand," he replies, his tone firm. "There's no room for bullying in this school."

The head cheerleader stands up to him, crossing her arms defiantly. "And who says I'm bullying anyone?" she asks sharply.

"I think it's pretty obvious," John replies without missing a beat.

"I'm sure the freshman boy does," John responds, "And I suggest you apologize to him right now and stop this childish behavior!"

The head cheerleader scoffs. "I'm not apologizing to some loser freshman boy," she retorts, "I have better things to do with my time."

John looks at her sternly. "Then you leave me ****," he says, "I will have to report this to our principal. This kind of behavior is unacceptable."

The head cheerleader glares at John with disdain, but he stands his ground, undeterred. The freshman boy quietly slips away, and John makes a mental note to check in with him later to make sure he's okay. "You know what?" the cheerleader sneers, "You're just jealous. Jealous that I'm more popular than you and that I have a boyfriend who can actually throw a ball. You're nothing but a freak!"

John rolls his eyes, "Looks like you don't have anything to say for yourself. Figures," he shrugs, and begins to walk away. Suddenly, the cheerleader lunges for him, grabbing the stack of papers in his arms and scattering them all over the hallway.

Does it escalate?
