She looked up. "No, but I'm trying to study," she replied.

"My name's John. What's yours?"

"Wendy. Nice to meet you, John, but I really do need to study," she said curtly.

John strained to take a peek at the book she was studying. His smile widened as he saw it was a history book. "So, you're studying for a history class? I'm a history buff myself. Perhaps if you're having trouble."

Wendy looked up at him. "Are you offering to help me? History isn't exactly my biggest strength."

"Then you're in luck. Would you like to go back to your place, mine or stay right here?"
